Michael Hunter is a naval commander, torn from earth and carried far into space. Marooned and lost in an alien environment, he finds his faith challenged by the things and people he encounters. He must find his way home to his daughter and he must depend on the Providence of God to sustain him. Traditional concepts of space from home give way as Michael learns that God is truly a Universal God and God's love and power is beyond Michael's ability to comprehend. As Michael stumbles blindly from trouble to danger, he must find friends, allies he can trust if he is to survive. Among his new friends he finds a new love to fill the empty spot left by his late wife. Love blooms among the stars and he finds a helpmate to make the journey by his side. Pirates, Bounty hunters, traitors, criminal agents, barbarian hordes, slavers; he must deal with them all if he is to find the way home. The adventure continues.
