The Edge of Days is a psychological suspense story about purpose and identity. Mickey Newman, an academic driven to fulfill his desires, encounters Karisa Campbell, a college student with a damaged past. Privately, Mickey is driven to overcome his depression and to more fully integrate his personality. He believes esoteric sexual practices with a willing partner will help him become whole. Brooke Worthington is an ambitious criminal defense lawyer who has recently become managing partner of a publicity-conscious boutique law firm in Coral Gables. She yearns for intimacy and struggles with secrets that would damage all that she has created. Her business partner insists that she represent a dangerous high-profile client. Brooke knows doing so will cause her to break a professional vow and relive a costly error from her past. She takes the case, believing it an opportunity to make amends. Doing so sets in motion events that reveal personal secrets far more consequential than those related to her career. Karisa Campbell is a college student who has returned to campus after having dropped out her freshman year. She enrolls in Mickey's class with an agenda to make the world right. She manipulates his desires, and turns the table to avenge a harrowing past. The Edge of Days is taut literary story-telling addressing universal themes of love, death and the consequences of choice.
